Chinatown x Japantown x Tofu Festival

"Tofu Festival?"

Yes, such an event does exist, I was fortunate enough to attend with Rina!
My first time driving to San Francisco! Immediately after taking this photo, our lane cut off and I had to merge back into the center. LOL, damn crazy, thank goodness I had Rina telling me the directions on my GPS.
First stop is Chinatown! Ah, I haven't been here for quite some time, lately it's been J-town only, but I decided it's time for a change! Rina agreed completely too, quite refreshing and we found a few new places!
We actually forgot to plan where exactly we were going, so . . it was all spontaneous!
Ah, reminded me of a character in an anime living in a traditional house. Honestly, just gives the impression of such royalty.
 C H I N A T O W N
oh goodness, this is where a ton of pigeons blind sighted us! Haha, quite like the design throughout Chinatown! It really does feel like you're venturing into a [mini] China.
We ran into a hidden plaza, Dream House is such a nice store! If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop by and take a look. The female cashier (possibly owner) was so kind and welcoming, we both ended up buying a few items. It's honestly a more affordable version of a Sanrio store, especially because their products quite overpriced now an days.
So many lead pencils and pens, we honestly spent a good 5-10 minutes finding our favorite one.
I actually almost purchased a display lead pencil, but the sweet lady had warned me! Definitely a kind act that won't go without notice.
We were walking so much with a jacket on, but. . the weather damn lie, it was so sunny! (supposedly it was going to be covered in fog)
Rina treated me to ice cream and brought me a piece of homemade lemon pound cake! Damn good, Green Tea ice cream and Mango ice cream.
Did you notice the packaging for the items we bought in Dream House? Completely reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club!
Stopped by an art exhibit, everything is discounted price because items must go!
Honestly, just look and admire the decor in this exhibit. .
Chinese artwork was honestly so unique, definitely wouldn't hesitate to buy if we had our own place!
Goodness. . Truly speechless, this is definitely one of those items people claim are "kawaii" or make them "chio"
There are no words, really. .
Decided to put in a dollar to get some wisdom from Confucius. .
Well, he said, "share with me more wealth, and I'll share with you more wisdom. ."
well, okay then. . I mean, if it's going to be like that.
I honestly couldn't stop laughing with Rina after this, especially because so many people gathered around.
We continued to wander around, I noticed a sign that mentioned a bit of words of wisdom. Unfortunately, I can't remember what it said.
Piano playing by itself, I honestly was just so intrigued, it was inside of a hotel with a Chinese Art Exhibit.
Unfortunately the exhibit was closed that day for some renovations, we were so disappointed but the hotel was honestly breathtaking.
Passed by the park on our way out of the hotel, so many adults betting money on card games. It was honestly a festival in itself, they completely surrounded the area.
View from the 3rd floor of the hotel!
Made our way to the Tofu Festival in Japantown!
Entered the Peace Plaza and decided to roam around to find a place for lunch.
Ah, we didn't let this face deceive us. . The restaurant was way overpriced, so we continued onward.
Variety of Macaroons, but they were so tiny and priced a bit too high.
Doesn't it just look so appetizing?
Back outside to find some Tofu!
Korean Tofu/Fried Chicken food truck! The aroma was just too much, we had to buy from here!
Side view of the Food Truck, the aroma became overwhelming -drool-
I got the Fried Tofu, it was honestly worth the price and experience!
Rina got the Garlic Cheese fries, I tried not to stare at her fries. LOL.
Manga Store!
As always, there's just so much Manga here. . I definitely wish that I had enough allotted time to buy a few and read them.
☆ Free!
Kuroko no Basuke poster, I've yet to finish the newest season! Shame on me for sure, definitely need to prioritize anime over homework. . lol.
Stopped by pikapika for a few photos!
We tried the Candy Carnival booth, and it didn't disappoint at all! Our favorite booth is being removed for some odd reason, quite disappointing.
The Face Shop! Always have to stop by when visiting Japantown, this store is selling the popular animal face masks! Key from SHINee recently wore the Panda during his segment on My Little Television!
One more stop at the mall because it has UNIQLO and SKIN FOOD! Once i told Rina about Skin Food being in the mall, it was decided that we were going.
Steam Milk Essence Mist was so nice! I couldn't stop raving about it with Rina, definitely a purchased for the future.
S K I N F O O D
 ユニクロ
I usually don't buy socks, but I couldn't help but purchase the three striped low cut socks on the top row!
Time for dinner before we head back home!
Outside view of the mall, weather had cooled down and it began to sprinkle outside!
Salmon x Cream Cheese! So tasty, I believe Rina got a double Salmon roll.
We both agreed it was a light, tasty meal for dinner, highly convenient to be in the food court.
We wanted one snack before heading back, and we ran into this bakery!
Macaroon was looks so tasty, unfortunately. . The employee working came off extremely rude, so I whispered to rina, "let's leave and go to the frozen yogurt store next door." LOL.
It ended up being cheaper and much more tasty! I noticed the Granola topping after we paid, and the employee was so kind enough to let us add some without paying an additional charge. Couldn't stop laughing because we went to tables near the bakery and ate. Haha, rude lady gets to watch us enjoy tasty Frozen Yogurt.
On the way back home! It's always such a nice view heading back home from SF.
The giant Coca Cola sign!
until next time!
Honestly such a wonderful day spent, can't believe we went so many places over a span of eight hours.
